Who we are

Spark & Search is a web design and local SEO studio based in the United Kingdom, operating at sparkandsearch.com.

We are the data controller for any personal information you share with us through this website. If you have any questions about how we handle your data, please contact us at hello@sparkandsearch.com.

What information we collect

We only collect information you voluntarily provide to us. This happens when you fill in our contact form. The information we may collect includes:

  • Your name
  • Your business name
  • Your email address
  • Your phone number (optional — only if you choose to provide it)
  • A description of your enquiry or project

We do not collect any sensitive personal data. We do not use cookies, tracking scripts, or analytics tools on this website.

How we use your information

We use the information you provide solely to:

  • Respond to your enquiry
  • Discuss a potential project or service with you
  • Contact you if you have requested a callback or consultation

We will never use your information for unsolicited marketing, and we will never sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for their own marketing purposes.

Legal basis for processing

Under UK GDPR, we process your personal data on the basis of legitimate interests — specifically, responding to a direct enquiry you have made to us. By submitting our contact form, you are actively reaching out to us, and processing your data to respond is a reasonable and expected step.

We do not rely on consent as a legal basis, which means you do not need to opt in to anything — but equally, the rights below are always available to you.

How we store and protect your data

Your contact form submissions are processed via Formspree (formspree.io), a third-party form processing service. Formspree transmits your submission securely to our email inbox. You can read Formspree's own privacy policy at formspree.io/legal/privacy-policy.

Once received, your enquiry is stored within our email system. We take reasonable steps to protect it from unauthorised access, loss, or disclosure.

We do not store your personal data in any database or CRM system. Your information exists only in our email inbox and is not shared beyond our team.

How long we keep your data

We retain enquiry correspondence for up to 24 months from the date of your initial contact. If a project proceeds, we may retain relevant communications for the duration of the project and up to 6 years thereafter, for legal and tax purposes.

If you would like your data deleted sooner, please contact us and we will action this promptly.

Your rights under UK GDPR

You have the following rights regarding your personal data:

  • Right of access — you can ask us what data we hold about you
  • Right to rectification — you can ask us to correct inaccurate data
  • Right to erasure — you can ask us to delete your data
  • Right to restrict processing — you can ask us to limit how we use your data
  • Right to object — you can object to our processing of your data
  • Right to data portability — you can ask for a copy of your data in a portable format

To exercise any of these rights, email us at hello@sparkandsearch.com. We will respond within 30 days.

If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.

This website does not use cookies. We do not use Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, or any other tracking or advertising technology. No data about your browsing behaviour is collected or shared.
